16-17 Saver are only £30 for one year. There is no limit on the number of times during the one-year validity period. What's more, the average annual savings can be up to £348.*

How do I Get a 16-17 Saver?
You can purchase your Railcard (1-year) through the Trip.com app, as shown below.
What do I need on-hand when buying my Railcard?
Proof of age (valid UK driving license/provisional license, passport, or EEA national ID card)
A high-quality digital passport-style photo of yourself
A debit or credit card for payment
Step 1: Open the Trip.com app and tap "Trains" at the top of the homepage
Step 2: Tap "Buy a Railcard" at the bottom of the page
Step 3: Sign in to your Trip.com account and select the right Railcard for you
Step 4: Provide your personal details (including name, date of birth, and a passport-style photo) and purchase
Step 5: You can now tap "My Railcards" to view your new Railcard
Step 6: Make sure to add your Railcard when booking train tickets digitally (or select it if buying tickets physically) to enjoy discounts

The 16-17 Saver Railcard offers a 1/2 discount on most Off-Peak rail fares for travel across the UK. Below, you will find information on available tickets and some restrictions.
Note that the only area you can't use your 16-17 Railcard is Northern Ireland.

What's the difference between a 16-17 Saver Railcard and a 16-25 Railcard?
For tickets, 16-17 Saver gives 50% off Standard Anytime, Standard Off-Peak, Standard Advance, and Season tickets. 16‐25 Railcard gives 1/3 off Standard Anytime and Standard Off-Peak tickets, as well as Standard and First Class Advance tickets.
For time usage, both of them can travel at any time of the day. But a 16-25 Railcard has a minimum fare of £12 that applies to all journeys made between 04:30 am and 09:59 am, Monday to Friday excluding Advance fares.

Yes, you can get 50% off Standard Anytime, Standard Off-Peak, Standard Advance, and Season tickets. Please note that the 16-17 Saver cannot be used as a photocard for a paper Season ticket and if you are buying a paper Season ticket for the first time you will need to have a photocard created at a staffed National Rail Station. You will need to provide a passport-type photograph for your photocard and the photocard must be carried when traveling.Can I use my 16-17 Saver on Transport for London services?
No, you can't use your 16-17 Saver Railcards on Travelcard for London service, except buying a Travelcard to receive discounts for travel into London from outside London Zones 1-9.Can I use my 16-17 Saver to buy tickets for other people?
